Effective Date: May 3, 2026

Overview

Ham Tech 2026 ("the App") is a study tool for the FCC Technician Class amateur radio license exam. This privacy policy explains how the App handles your information.

Data Collection

The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Specifically:

Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores your study progress (which questions you have answered, your correct/incorrect counts, and your last mock exam score), the count of free questions used today, and your purchase entitlement, locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage. This data:

Internet Access

The 2026-2030 NCVEC Technician question pool is bundled within the App and can be used without an internet connection. The App may open user-initiated external links to public reference sources (NCVEC, ARRL, FCC), the Privacy Policy, the App's Terms of Use, and Apple's standard App Store EULA. Purchase and restore flows use Apple's App Store services.

Children's Privacy

The App does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The App complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by virtue of collecting no data whatsoever.

Affiliations

The App is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by NCVEC, the ARRL, or the FCC. The 2026-2030 NCVEC Technician question pool is a public document published by NCVEC and is reproduced under the public-pool terms set by NCVEC for the question pool itself.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted at this URL and the effective date will be updated. Since the App collects no data, substantive changes are unlikely.
